Mikayla Oberlton is a Public Voices Fellow on Racial Justice in Early Childhood with the OpEd Project in Partnership with the National Black Child Development Institute, a research assistant, and advocate for mental health equity and accessibility at Prairie View A&M University. She is the current Miss Harris County for the Miss America Organization.
