The Texas Observer covers stories crucial to the public interest, stories that provoke dialogue, democratic participation and open government. It’s all in pursuit of a Texas where education, justice and material progress are available to all. And we can do none of it without you.
As a nonprofit, independent media organization, the Texas Observer does not generate a significant portion of its revenue from advertising or other traditional sources. Instead, we turn to the generosity of our readers to support our work. In short: We need you in order to make sure we can keep going.
There are a number of ways you can support the Texas Observer:
- Join our membership program with a monthly sustaining gift or an annual donation.
- Give a one-time gift.
- Become a Friend of Molly by pledging a gift of $1,000 or more annually for 3 years.
- Help ensure our work continues for generations to come by making a donation in memory of a loved one or leaving a bequest.
- Give a gift of stocks or bonds.
Our reporting is fair, accurate and, as our mission states, it hews hard to the truth as we find it. As a 501(c)(3), we do not endorse candidates or legislation. To read more, see our editorial independence policy.
